TE Special Programs
TE Tots is a drop-in program for our youngest students, aged 9 months – 4 years, bringing with them an adult of their choice. These young ones participate in a Jewish-themed morning of music, movement and art. TE Tots takes place approximately twice per month on Sundays from 9:30 - 10:30am.
This new Friday morning program is a Shabbat-themed class of singing, learning and moving with your little one. It compliments our Sunday morning Tots program. The class meets twice a month from 10 - 10:45am. Tots 6 months-3 years are invited with a parent or other adult. There is no charge.
Students in 9th and 10th grades have the unique experience of learning with Rabbi Hersh each week. Not only does this foster a personal relationship between the Rabbi and the students, it also helps students explore their personal Judaism in relation to the rest of the world. During the first part of the morning, the Confirmation Class serve as Madrichim (teaching assistants) in our pre-K through 8th grade classes, serving as role models for the younger children. This year the 9th - 12th graders will also be traveling to Washington, D.C., for the L'taken Social Justice Seminar.
Students who have been confirmed are always welcomed home to Temple Emanuel. The young adults can continue to be Madrichim (student teachers) in the classroom, tutor Hebrew students or help in any way in our Religious School. Post-Confirmation gatherings are scheduled monthly or as appropriate for that particular class. This year the 9th - 12th graders will also be traveling to Washington, D.C., for the L'taken Social Justice Seminar.
